Example 4 — Customer boat yard handoff / estimate

You are a marine technician or company going to a customer’s boat on the water (or a dock neighbor asks for help). You open a Customer Boat case, capture their vessel details (owner, name, HIN, marina), run the diagnostic workflow, and export a professional Yard Handoff PDF that the owner can take to a yard or use for estimates.

This is how companies use Intrepid Mariner when the app is mostly for your primary boat (single-boat focus) but you regularly service other vessels.

Example — Pre-departure: Marine Conditions on the map

At the dock, the skipper opens WX Radar, glances at the NEXRAD loop, then taps the waves control. The Marine Conditions panel overlays the map with local current air, wind, seas, moon, NOAA tides, and a short forecast — no need to leave the chart. Tap waves again (or the dimmed area) to dismiss.
