Welcome. You installed software written by humans who care, drink coffee, and occasionally break things.
By using Intrepid Mariner, you agree to this page. If you don’t, delete the app and go sailing.
(Please go sailing either way.)
We try our best
We write this software carefully. We test it. We fix bugs when we find them (and when you tell us, politely).
That does not mean the app is perfect, complete, or immune to the chaos of phones, networks, and public weather APIs.
Errors happen. Features may fail. Data you care about should be backed up when export tools are available.
If something goes sideways, we’re sorry — and we’re still not your insurance policy.
No warranty — express or implied.
The app is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Intrepid Marine LLC disclaims all warranties,
express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose,
non-infringement, and “this will definitely work on the boat when the Wi‑Fi is weird.”
Use at your own risk. We are not responsible for lost data, missed weather, yard arguments, or navigation outcomes.
Do not use this app for primary navigation.
This is not a chartplotter. Not ECDIS. Not the screen you should trust while entering a channel at night.
Use official electronic charts, paper backups, and actual seamanship. Radar and map layers here are helpers — not your primary nav solution.
Weather & charts (U.S.)
Weather radar (NWS NEXRAD) and primary NOAA / USN layers cover the United States
(limited adjacent public North American feeds). Not worldwide.
We don’t invent data for oceans we don’t get free tiles for.
Your content
You own what you enter. It stays on your device unless you export or share it.
Don’t use the app for illegal purposes or content you have no right to keep.
We don’t sell your locker inventory to advertisers. We’re not that kind of pirate.
Free features & paid exports
Most of the app is free to use. Optional auto-renewable subscriptions unlock backup import/export and PDF/CSV report files.
Prices and plan names are shown in the App Store / paywall. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in
Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Refunds are Apple’s department.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top moves when we do.
Keep using the app after that and you’ve accepted the new wording.
We’ll try not to rewrite the laws of physics overnight.
