Remember an item

1. Pick or create a location (garage → shelf → bin).
2. Add an item with quantity and unit.
3. Dictate a spoken memory — tap mic, speak, tap stop; transcript applies to the field.
4. Attach photos via Camera | Photo Library segmented picker.
5. Search later from the list header.

Mechanical defect or incident (Field Report)

1. Open Field Reports → new case (defect, accident, incident, …).
2. Add an entry: what happened, where, who — dictate or type each panel.
3. Attach evidence photos per entry.
4. Add follow-up entries over days or weeks.
5. Close the case and export PDF for insurance, landlord, or repair shop.

Dictation commits when you stop recording — partial captions are not lost.

Garage sale — one event

1. Create a garage sale with title and date.
2. Add items — up to 3 photos, category, price, negotiable/firm.
3. Export PDF flyer (all items or filter by category).

Backup — full library or selected subsystems

1. About → Backup & Restore on the source phone.
2. Export everything for a new phone, or turn it off and pick subsystems (My Stuff, Field Reports, Garage Sale, …).
3. AirDrop the .crspit-backup file → save to On My iPhone on the receiving device.
4. Import Backup File → confirm Replace selected subsystems.

Garage sale — share records (not a full backup)

1. Garage Sale → share menu → Share all records, Share selected records… (All/None toggles), or Share record on one item.
2. AirDrop the .crspit-garagesale file (not a photo ZIP).
3. On the receiving phone, Import records into sale… and pick the destination sale.
4. Records merge into that existing sale — prefer small batches for faster AirDrop.

Garage sale record section · User guide

Borrow, loan, return

1. Record what went out or came in — person, date, notes, photo.
2. Track active loans from the list.
3. Swipe or edit to mark returned when the item is back.

Helpful Notes — letter from a template

1. Pick a template (landlord, healthcare, government, product complaint, …).
2. Edit bracketed placeholders — type or dictate addendum text.
3. Copy or share from the note when ready.

Weather radar

1. Open Weather — animated NWS radar loads for your region.
2. Allow location when prompted to center the map.
3. Toggle warnings overlays from map controls.
4. If the map feels stuck after panning far away, tap the scope button on the toolbar to reset and recenter on GPS.
5. Adjust radar preferences in About (loop, default overlays).
