CRSpit User Guide

Remember where your stuff is — inventory, incidents, garage sales, and weather on iPhone and iPad.

CRSpit uses bottom tabs. Each module keeps its own data on your device until you export or transfer.

My Stuff — inventory workflow

  1. Create or pick a location (nested tree — garage → shelf → bin).
  2. Add an item with quantity, unit, typed note, and optional dictation.
  3. Attach photos from camera or library.
  4. Search across names, notes, and locations from the list header.

Field Reports

  1. Open a new case and pick a category (accident, defect, incident, …).
  2. Add entries with what happened, where, and who was involved — type or dictate.
  3. Attach evidence photos per entry.
  4. When finished, close the case and export PDF for insurance or repair shops.

Backup & Restore (full or partial)

  1. Open About → Backup & Restore.
  2. Leave Export everything on for a new phone, or off to pick subsystems only.
  3. Tap Export Backup File → AirDrop → save to On My iPhone on the receiving device.
  4. On the new phone, Import Backup File and confirm replace.

See Backup & Restore Guide for AirDrop troubleshooting and subsystem list.

Garage Sale — share records between phones

For adding items to an existing sale on another phone (most common). For moving all garage sales at once, use Backup & Restore instead.

Export

  1. Select the garage sale.
  2. Share menu → Share all records, Share selected records… (All/None), or Share record on one item.
  3. AirDrop the .crspit-garagesale file (not a photo ZIP).

Import

  1. Import records into sale… or open an AirDropped file.
  2. Choose which existing sale receives the records.
  3. Tap Add to sale.

Weather map — reset a stuck view

  1. If panning leaves the map sluggish or blank, tap the scope button on the Weather toolbar.
  2. This recenters on GPS, clears the saved pan/zoom, and refreshes radar tiles.
  3. Map controls (slider icon) also offers Reset view and Center on GPS.

Dictation

CRSpit uses one in-app dictation control per note field (speech recognition with a single microphone button). Use it on item notes, field report entries, and template letters — not the duplicate keyboard mic pattern.

Privacy

No account. No ads. Inventory, photos, and reports stay on your device. Weather uses public NOAA/Mesonet tiles over HTTPS. See Privacy Policy.
